Danny, Director at Construction View, explains that they specialise in time lapse photography on building sites.
The Construction View camera systems are setup for the duration of construction projects to record change over time, the images are used for project management, progress reporting and advertising. They have modified the Van Vault Mobi to make it fully water proof i.e. they have put silicone on all the visible air gaps around the hand grips, and then added cable glands to run the required power cables to the solar panels which allows them to store the battery and associated electronics in the Van Vault.
Previously, they have used normal galvanised tool boxes however, these have recently been under attack by local thieves who easily penetrate the standard tool boxes.
Construction View came across the Van Vault Mobi at Bunnings Warehouse’s in Melbourne and identified the potential of using the product to deter and stop thieves from stealing their equipment.
